Malzemeler

  • 500g fresh fava beans

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 4 tablespoons Livvy Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons molasses

  • 1 tablespoon einkorn whole wheat flour

  • 1 bunch dill, finely chopped

  • 3 cups water

  • Juice of 2 lemons

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 500g strained yogurt

Tarifler

  • Peel the fava beans as you would with green beans and soak them in water with the juice of 1 lemon to prevent browning.

  • In a pot, sauté the onion without oil, using a bit of water to soften it.

  • Add the fava beans and sauté for 5 more minutes.

  • Pour in 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

  • Mix the flour with 1 cup of water and add to the pot, stirring lightly to distribute evenly.

  • Season with salt and black pepper, cover, and simmer on low heat for 25–30 minutes.

  • Prepare the sauce by mixing the juice of 1 lemon, molasses, and olive oil.

  • Once the beans are cooked, turn off the heat, add half of the chopped dill, and mix.

  • Transfer the dish to a glass container and let it cool.

  • Pour the sauce over the cooled beans and gently stir to distribute evenly.

  • Prepare garlic yogurt and serve alongside the fava beans, garnished with the remaining dill.
