Baked Hash Browns with Yellow Lentil



  • 200g yellow lentils (dry)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 medium size onions
  • 2 scallions
  • 100g braided cheese (or feta cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour (30 g)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pack of dough baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  1. Soak the yellow lentils in water overnight, drain and boil them.
  2. Put the boiled lentils in the food processor and process until you get a mash consistency.
  3. Chop the onions and garlics and saute with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  4. Soak the braided cheese in cold water for 10 minutes, then grate.
  5. Finely chop parsley, dill and scallions.
  6. Put all ingredients into a container and mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  7. Put a baking paper on a baking tray and place the mixture into the baking tray.
  8. Cook in the oven preheated to 180 degrees until golden brown.
