Banana Bread



  • 4 medium-sized ripe bananas
  • 8 Madinah dates
  • 150 g whole wheat flour
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 45g walnut, coarsely ground
  • cinnamon, its amount is optional
  • baking powder
  1. Remove the kernels of dates and immerse them in hot water until soft.
  2. Chop three of the bananas and crush them thoroughly with a fork until you have puree consistency.
  3. Put the softened dates and the water left into the food processor, process until you have puree consistency.
  4. Put the date puree and banana puree in a deep bowl, then add all the remaining ingredients other then the banana and mix them all.
  5. Peel the remaining banana and cut it lengthwise into two.
  6. Pour the mixture into a baton cake mould and place the bananas on top with the inner sides facing upwards ​​(you can put the mixture into smaller cake moulds or cook it in a single mould)
  7. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 45 minutes.
