Healthy Ashura with Einkorn Wheat



  • 750g black wheat (boiled)
  • 300g chickpeas (boiled)
  • 1 mid-size apple
  • 10 dried apricots
  • 10 dates (large size)
  • 110g raisin
  • 50g dried mulberry
  • 1 mid-size orange
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 2 slices of lemon
  • 250ml milk

  • 1 pomegranate
  • 5 figs (chopped)
  • 100g of hazelnuts
  • cinnamon
  1. Put some water, boiled einkorn wheat and chickpeas into the same pot so that all wheat and chickpeas are covered with water, then boil for 30-40 minutes.
  2. While the einkorn wheat and chickpeas are boiling, chop dry apricots, apple, dates (peel them and remove their seeds), orange and orange peels into small pieces.
  3. In the last 5-10 minutes of boiling process, add a few slices of lemon and milk in order for the ashura to have a light brown color and flavor.
  4. Then add chopped fruits (in step 2). After cooling for a short while, add honey.
  5. Let it cool.
  6. After it has cooled down and become thicker, add chopped fig pieces, a few hazelnuts, pomegranate seeds and cinnamon to decorate.
