Turkish Coffee Ground Cookies

Turkish Coffee

  • 1 tablespoon Turkish coffee (finely ground)
  • 75ml water

 

Cookie

  • 5 super jumbo medjool dates
  • 100g oatmeal
  • 30g hazelnut (finely ground)
  • 1 egg
  • 10g unsalted butter

 

 

Making Turkish coffee

  1. Put 1 tablespoon of Turkish coffee and 75 ml of water into a coffee pot.
  2. Put the coffee pot on low heat and stir gently until it boils.
  3. Pour its content into a coffee cup.

 

Cookies

  1. Soak the dates in hot water for 10 minutes to have them soft.
  2. Put the oatmeal in a food processor and process until it has flour consistency, then put it in a container.
  3. Remove the seeds of dates and process them in the food processor.
  4. Mix oatmeal flour, dates, hazelnut, egg, butter and ‘cooked’ Turkish coffee (add coffee grounds into the mixture as well in order to have a strong aroma) in a bowl with a spoon until you get a cookie dough.
  5. Put a baking paper on a baking tray.
  6. Take a small amount of mixture and roll it between your palms to have a ball shape. Place them on the baking tray.
  7. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
