1 kg turkey breast (boneless and skinless)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon chili pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves crushed garlic
Juice of half a lemon
Fresh thyme or rosmarin (optional)
1 cup water or chicken broth

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place the turkey breast on a tray. If it is large, you can cut it into smaller pieces.
Mix the olive oil, salt, black pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, garlic powder and lemon juice in a bowl.
Mix this mixture well into the turkey breast. You can sprinkle fresh thyme or rosmarin on top.
Place the prepared turkey breast into the tray.
Add 1 cup of water or chicken broth into the tray. This ensures that the turkey is not dry.
Bake in the oven for about 45-60 minutes, until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 75°C.
The top of the dish should turn golden and the meat should be tender. You can pour some of the juices over the dish from time to time.
Remove the turkey from the oven, let it rest for 10 minutes and slice.
Serve with lightly steamed vegetables or a salad suitable for a bariatric diet.
