1 cup dried fava beans

1 onion

2 tablespoons olive oil

Soak the dried fava beans in plenty of water overnight.
The next day, rinse and drain the beans.
Peel and chop the onion. Heat the olive oil in a pot and sauté the onion until golden.
Add the fava beans and 3–4 cups of water.
Add salt and cook until the beans are completely soft.
