Baked Yellow Lentil Mücver (Fritters)

  • 200g yellow lentils (uncooked)

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 medium onions

  • 2 spring onions

  • 100g braided cheese (or feta cheese)

  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour (30g)

  • 1 bunch parsley

  • 1 bunch dill

  • 3 tablespoons Livvy Olive Oil

  • 1 packet baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, cumin

Tarifler

  1. Soak the yellow lentils overnight, then boil them.

  2. Blend the cooked lentils in a food processor until smooth.

  3. Chop the onions and garlic, and sauté lightly with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

  4. If using salty braided cheese, soak it in cold water for 20 minutes, then grate.

  5. Finely chop the parsley, dill, and spring onions.

  6. In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until well incorporated.

  7. Pour the mixture into a baking dish lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) until the top is golden brown.
