  • 5 tablespoons rolled oats
  • 8 walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Cocoa powder (for coating the balls)

  1. Steam the pumpkin and mash it using a fork or masher to form a purée.

  2. Coarsely grind the rolled oats in a food processor.

  3. Grind the walnuts in a food processor—adjust the texture to your preference. For a chunkier texture, you can chop them by hand.

  4. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin purée, ground oats, walnuts, honey, and cinnamon until well combined.

  5. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least one hour to firm up.

  6. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls with your hands.

  7. Coat the balls in cocoa powder and prepare them for serving.
