Roasted Turkey with Turmeric

Ingredients

Recipe

  • 700g cauliflower, separated into florets
  • 300g turkey meat, finely chopped
  • ½ carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced ​​into thin strips
  • 100g kashar cheese, grated

For the bechamel sauce

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 30g cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt, black pepper

To marinate the turkey

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Black pepper

For service

  • 4 cherry tomatoes
  • Dill
  • Mix the turkey meat with the marinade ingredients and leave it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • On the other hand, boil the cauliflower in steam for a very short time. It should not be crushed too much as it will be cooked again in the oven.
  • In a pan without oil, fry the turkey meat that you have marinated with onions and carrots.
  • In the meantime, melt the butter for the béchamel sauce first. Then add all the ingredients and cook with a wire whisk until you obtain a smooth sauce. After cooking, add the kashar cheese and mix.
  • Place the boiled cauliflower and turkey meat in the oven dish.
  • Add the kashar and turmeric béchamel sauce on top and place the tomatoes whole, cook in a 200 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
  • Before removing from the oven, sprinkle the remaining kashar cheese and keep it in grill mode until it turns golden brown.
  • Garnish with dill and serve.
