Tirokafteri (Cretan Cheese Spread)

Ingredients

Recipe

  • 200g full-fat feta cheese
  • 200g curd cheese
  • 4 garlic (crushed)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • half a bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
  • half a bunch of dill (finely chopped)
  • 12 walnuts (crushed)

 

For the topping

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • red pepper flakes
  1. Crush feta cheese and curd cheese using a fork.
  2. Add crushed garlic, walnuts, olive oil and mix.
  3. Add parsley and dill.
  4. Fry the red pepper flakes with a little bit of olive oil for a short while and pour it over the mixture before serving.
